  “Aka” is a Hanunuo Mangyan term for “first born.” The Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC) believes this publication is the first of its kind in the MIMAROPA Region. It is an academic, multidisciplinary and faculty and expert-reviewed journal devoted to the rapid dissemination of current research. It is published annually to document the research endeavors of the students presented in the Annual Student Research Congress.
