  • Mindoro Journal of Social Sciences and Development Studies

Mindoro Journal of Social Sciences and Development Studies (MJSSDS), a peer-reviewed journal, is the official publication of Occidental Mindoro State College published biannually. It aims to promote study and research that forge links between the social sciences and sustainable rural development. This journal is an interdisciplinary publication and welcomes articles from diverse theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches, which engage and contribute to rural development. It also focuses on the significance, roles, and implications of various disciplines on rural societies and community development.

MJSSDS publishes articles in English or Filipino. For manuscripts written in Filipino, authors must provide English translations of the title, abstract, keywords, and any non-English references.

Filipino manuscripts are accepted only when the subject matter is directly related to Filipino language, literature, culture, or other language studies where the use of Filipino is academically justified. However, if the article can reasonably be written in English without loss of meaning, it is expected to be submitted in English.

In cases where the manuscript is not intended to be translated into English due to the nature of the content (e.g., linguistic analysis, cultural discourse, or context-specific Filipino expressions that are central to the study), the journal may allow full Filipino text, provided that the required English metadata (title, abstract, keywords, and references where applicable) are still supplied.
